Service Description

RedactPII is a Chrome extension that detects and masks personally identifiable information (PII) before users paste data into AI chat tools. The extension uses on-device language models to analyze text locally without transmitting data to external servers.

Free and Pro Tiers

Free tier: Three protected pastes per day, all 20 PII categories, all supported AI platforms. No account required.

Pro tier (Founding Member): Unlimited protected pastes, faster detection, comprehensive secrets scanning, paste history, and priority support. $50 per year, locked in for life. Annual billing.

Pro tier (Standard): After Founding Member slots are filled, Pro is available at $8 per month or $71 per year.

Founding Member Pricing

Founding Member pricing ($50 per year) is available to the first 1,000 subscribers. This rate is locked in permanently for the lifetime of your subscription and will never increase, regardless of future pricing changes. "Lifetime" means for as long as you maintain an active, paid subscription. If you cancel and resubscribe, the Founding Member rate is not guaranteed.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits on the free tier through automated means
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the extension or service

Intellectual Property

The RedactPII extension, including its on-device language models, user interface, and documentation, is the intellectual property of RedactPII. Model cards for PII detection models are published for transparency and audit purposes.

Limitation of Liability

RedactPII is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. While we target more than 90 percent precision in PII detection, no detection system is perfect. You acknowledge that:

• Some PII may not be detected (false negatives are possible)
• Some non-sensitive content may be flagged (false positives are possible)
• You are responsible for reviewing detections before choosing to redact or paste original content
• RedactPII is not a substitute for organizational data protection policies

In no event shall RedactPII be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Cancellation and Refunds

Pro subscriptions can be canceled at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. Billing management is handled through your RedactPII account. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact support@redactpii.com.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to Pro subscribers. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
